Aftercare
Keep it looking new
A reglazed finish is tough, but it is a coating, not fired porcelain. Treat it like a good car paint job and it will last 10 to 15 years.
Do
- Wait the full cure time we give you before any use
- Clean with a non-abrasive liquid cleaner and a soft sponge
- Rinse after use and let the surface dry
- Fix a dripping faucet promptly so water does not stand on the finish
- Use a bath mat you remove after each bath
- Call us at the first sign of a bubble, chip or lifted edge
Don't
- Scouring powders, abrasive pads or magic erasers
- Bleach or drain cleaner left sitting on the surface
- Suction-cup mats, appliqués or non-slip stickers left in place
- Hair dye, nail polish remover or harsh solvents on the finish
- Dropping tools, bottles or cookware into the fixture
- Pulling off masking or caulk before we tell you it is ready
Cure times
The first 48 hours matter most
- 0h
We finish
Masking comes off, the drain and hardware go back, and we walk you through the care guide. Keep the room ventilated and dry.
- 24h
Light use
Showers and normal washing are fine on most fixtures. No standing water, no bath mats yet.
- 48h
Full use
Fill the tub, use the sink normally, re-hang the shower curtain. The finish keeps hardening for about a week, so go easy with cleaners until then.
FAQ
Warranty and care questions
Straight answers from 10+ years of reglazing in the Saddleback Valley. Not covered here? Call (949) 516-0179.
How do I clean a reglazed tub?
Use a non-abrasive liquid cleaner and a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid scouring powders, abrasive pads, bleach left standing and anything with ammonia. Rinse after use and leave it to dry.
Can I use a bath mat?
A mat you remove after each bath is fine. Suction-cup mats and non-slip stickers left in place trap water and will lift the finish, and damage from them is not covered.
When can I use the fixture?
24 hours for light use, 48 hours before a full bath or heavy use. We give you the exact time when we finish.
What voids the warranty?
Abrasive cleaners or pads, suction mats or appliqués left in place, standing water from a dripping faucet, use before the cure period ends, dropped objects, and structural or plumbing problems underneath the fixture. Full terms are on the Terms of Service page.
