Agreement

These terms apply to all estimates, services and warranties provided by Lake Forest Reglazing (“we”, “us”) to you (“the customer”) in Lake Forest, California and surrounding areas, and to your use of lakeforestreglazing.com. By accepting an estimate or allowing us to begin work, you agree to these terms.

Estimates and quotes

Quotes are free and based on the information and photos you provide. A quote is valid for 30 days. If the fixture differs materially from what was described (for example, hidden cracks, a previous failed refinish that must be stripped, or structural damage), we will explain the difference and give you a revised price before proceeding. You may decline the revised price at no charge.

Scheduling and access

We need clear access to the fixture, a working electrical outlet, and the ability to ventilate the room. Please remove personal items from the bathroom before we arrive. If we are unable to perform the work on the scheduled day because of access or conditions in the home, we may charge a trip fee.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods listed on your estimate.

Cure time and care

A reglazed surface must cure before use. We will tell you the cure time, typically 24 to 48 hours, when we finish. Using the fixture, removing masking, or allowing water on the surface before the cure period ends can damage the finish and is not covered by the warranty. We provide a care guide with every job.

Warranty coverage

Two-year warranty. All work, including bathtubs, showers and shower pans, fiberglass and acrylic enclosures, tile walls, floors and countertops, and bathroom sinks and vanity tops, is warranted for two (2) years from the date of completion against peeling, blistering, cracking and loss of adhesion of the finish we applied.

Six-month warranty on kitchen sinks. Kitchen sinks are the single exception and are warranted for six (6) months from the date of completion against the same defects. The shorter period reflects the heat, cookware and heavy daily use a kitchen sink receives.

If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will repair or refinish the affected area at no charge. The warranty covers the finish only and is provided to the original customer at the original address. It is not transferable.

Warranty exclusions

• Damage from abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach left standing, drain-cleaning chemicals, or any cleaner we advised against.
• Chips, gouges or scratches from dropped objects, tools, cookware or sharp items.
• Suction-cup bath mats, appliqués or non-slip stickers left on the surface, which trap water and lift the finish.
• Standing water, a dripping faucet or leaking fixture that keeps the surface wet.
• Use of the fixture before the cure period ends, or removal of masking or caulk by anyone other than us.
• Structural movement, cracks in the underlying fixture, water damage behind walls, plumbing leaks, or failure of a previous refinish by another company.
• Normal wear, loss of gloss over time, or color change caused by cleaners, hair dyes or chemicals.
• Rust that originates from inside the fixture or around a drain or overflow that was not replaced.

Warranty claims

To make a claim, call (949) 516-0179 or use our contact page within the warranty period and describe the issue, with photos if possible. We will inspect the fixture and schedule the repair. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary under California law.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the work on the affected fixture. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use of the bathroom, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Orange County, California.
