El Toro-era tracts came in a palette. Harvest gold and avocado in the early 70s, almond and bone through the 80s, pink and mint in the oldest Lake Forest Keys and Shores homes. The porcelain underneath is usually in good shape. It is the color that dates the whole bathroom.
We spray the new color over a fully prepped surface. After stripping, etching and repairs, the tub (or sink, or tile wall) gets a bonding agent and several coats of high-gloss topcoat in the color you choose. Bright white is the overwhelming favorite, with biscuit, bone and light gray close behind. Custom colors are available for a tub that needs to match existing tile.

Does changing the color cost more than refinishing in the same color?
No. The preparation is the same and the coating is sprayed either way. A color change is priced exactly like a standard reglaze.
Can you match the tub to my existing tile?
Yes. We can color-match to a tile sample or a manufacturer color. Bring us a chip or a spare tile and we will match it.
Can you change the color of tile too?
Yes. Tile walls, surrounds and countertops are reglazed the same way, with grout sealed under the new color. It is the most common way Lake Forest homeowners get rid of pink and brown tile.
Will a dark color show wear faster?
Darker colors show water spots and scratches more than white, just as a dark car does. Most customers choose white or an off-white for that reason.
Can you go from white to a color?
Yes. Any color is possible. Gray and greige are the current favorites for a modern look.
